The UAB Neuroendovascular Group consists of two neurointerventional neurosurgeons and a neuroradiologist. Michigan State University and Sparrow Health System offer an in-depth, didactically rich, clinical neurology experience to residents successful in application to this program. Residents and Subspecialty Residents are paid an education stipend, as specified in their contract, which is payable in biweekly installments. Dr. Hadley has become a nationally and internationally recognized expert in the care and surgical treatment of patients with spinal cord tumors and spinal column pathology, including congenital anomalies, traumatic spinal cord injuries, fractures of the spinal vertebrae, degenerative spinal diseases, disc herniations, spinal stenosis, spinal reconstruction and fusion procedures of the entire spinal column, from the base of the skull through the sacrum. Our clinical service is extremely busy, with over 1,000 cases per year, including pediatric neurointerventional procedures. UAB boasts a highly competitive and sought-after neurosurgery residency program. The Michigan State University Department of Neurology is actively involved in promoting interactive learning between the department and our affiliated hospitals throughout the state via desktop videoconference (DVC) technology. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons [CNS] (1994-2004) and of the AANS/CNS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves (1992-1999).
